OK Green Deep Dive: Can Anyone Catch Mona Shores?
The OK Green is one of the toughest leagues in the state, top-to-bottom, year in and year out. Muskegon, Mona Shores, and Zeeland West have combined to win 10 state titles since 2004, and each look to be legitimate contenders once again this season. The Rockets of Reeths-Puffer have crashed the party this season and hope to make some noise in the playoffs. Also, Don’t forget about Grand Rapids Union, which currently sits at 3-3 and is looking to make its third playoff appearance since 2002.
With just three weeks to go, Mona Shores sits atop the Green with a 4-0 record, while Muskegon, Zeeland West, and Reeths-Puffer are 3-1. These last three weeks should tell us quite a bit about the aforementioned programs and how hopeful their chances are at making a run to Ford Field. But first, let’s take a look at the race for the Green title, and if anyone can catch Mona Shores.
